It just recently stopped working. So, I had to get another one. The one I received I believe was someone else's return...packaging was not original, some things were misplaced and rearranged...If it stops working, I will send it back. So far it is working, though...we will see.

My dog has loved his snuggle puppy since the first night we brought him home when he was 2 months old, until today, and he is nine months. This romance is kind of a nightly ritual for him, and did not alter at all since we had him neutered. We are glad it seems to have prevented any other "inappropriate" activity. Tonight, after 7 months, snuggle puppy endured one love bite too many, and when her stuffing started to come out, we went online to find him another one. I hope he will not despair waiting until the delivery gets here. She is the love of his life.

So we received the product just after 3-days. We didn't even expedite the shipping! I was very impressed by the craftsmanship of this table. I figured, I only paid $60 so the quality couldn't be that good. Boy, was I in for a surprise! The table is so smooth, the paint/varnish was flawless. The assembly part was sooo easy. This has got to be the easiest "assembly required" product. While I was assembling it, I couldnt help but admire the brackets used to put it together. Brackets and bolts is of a high quality, too.

The color, however, was a little too dark compared to what is pictured. Nonetheless, it worked and looks great in my hallway. The product is so nice that we are planning on getting other pieces as well.

Money well spent!!!!! Thanks!

My cat LOVES this food. I did a lot of research before choosing my cat's food for obvious reasons--he's my pet, I'm responsible for what he eats, and I want him to be as healthy as he can possibly be. My cat is on the following eating program, and I swear he looks like he's on steroids--except in a very lean and healthy way. He doesn't overeat, so I always keep Wellness Complete Health dry food in his bowl, and he just snacks on it from time-to-time throughout the day. Every morning, he gets a small can of the Wellness canned food, I switch up the flavors, but his favorite is the Salmon/Beef. Sometimes he eats most of it in one sitting, sometimes he eats it throughout the day. For snacks, he gets Whole Life brand freeze-dried chicken or salmon, sometimes dry, sometimes I run hot water over the chunks. I recommend this program to anyone who loves their cat. My cat is an indoor/outdoor cat and he's in extremely good shape. He seems sharp and alert, his coat is incredibly shiny and silky, and he just looks very, very healthy and happy. I attribute most of this to his diet. The best cat food on the market.

We started buying 100% meat diets on our vet's recommendation for getting our big fatty to lose weight on a "catkins" diet. Cats are obligate carnivores, so feeding them other foods that contain rice, or lots of vegetables, really isn't in line with how their bodies have evolved. The vet recommended Before Grain and Wysong, but my cats very clearly told me they like Before Grain much better. They lap it up, have become a healthier weight (the fat one lost, the small one gained), and have had no tummy problems ever since they switched off Friskies and onto this!

My understanding is that cats do need a few vitamins, since they do get some semi-digested vegetables from the guts of their prey. We mix in some Wysong "Call of the Wild" into the meat.

As to the other poster's comments that Tuna is somehow bad for cats... my understanding is that there is some small truth to that, in that cats naturally eat fowl and rodents, they don't really go fishing all that often. But they like it, so we give them some tuna every so often, just not for every meal.

I had bought a Buttoneer years ago in a bricks and mortar store. I only bought a pack of refills online.

+ This does seem to be quicker and easier than sewing on a button,

at least for people who aren't good at such tasks, like me, because we never learned how to do it right.

=> Someone should actually test and compare the time used for both methods.

(PS: In general, quite a few convenience products, incl. certain processed foods, do not save enough time to justify the extra cost.)

- The fasteners do not hold very well,

so you may have to re-attach that button within the same year.

- This is a razor-and-blades business model.

The company that makes the Buttoneer is the only one that makes the fasteners.

It's usually best to avoid such products, because they cost you more over the life of the product.

+ It does have a number of good uses other than re-attaching buttons.

The Bottom Line:

1. I'll finish using up 1/2 of the refills I bought.

2. Then I'll switch to using a needle and thread, which is more durable.

3. I'll keep the other refills for those few jobs for which this is really better or much faster than sewing.

AND:

The maker needs to come out with a new design that is more durable. Probably making the fasteners stronger is enough.

I have a problem with one of my dogs and excessive barking. It is so bad that I have receive anonymous letters from neighbors, a visit from the police and a letter from the county animal control. I purchased this collar in January and it worked very effectively for 2 weeks. The Citronella spray stopped my dog from barking more than once or twice (as opposed to 20 times) and it was great. After 2 weeks, the collar stopped working.

I contacted the manufacturer who asked me to take some trouble shooting steps and, when it still did not work, they authorized the return of the product. The return was at my expense but I did receive a replacement in about 2 weeks. I will say that Innotek's customer service was very good. I received the replacement collar and for 2 weeks it worked perfectly and was effective in stopping the excessive barking.

Unfortunately, once again it has stopped working and will not spray. I am not sure I want a device that I must keep returning and while I do not know if I am just unlucky and received 2 lemons, I am concerned about an endless cycle of returns.

I went on Amazon to return the collar as defective but it cannot be returned as it is designated as "hazardous materials." I may be forced to go through the return process again with Innotek if it can't be returned (or just stuck with the loss of my money).

UPDATE: Amazon promptly respoinded to my question about the return (or inability to return) of the collar and issued a refund. As always, Amazon's customer service is very good.

I would expect a 48 count pack to be no more than double that price (18.98) so $28.11 would seem a bit high. Unless of course 48 means 48 - 12 pack boxes. Then the description needs a little work.

This refrigerator is just fine for an office (where I have it), a dorm room, or other similar use. In 3 years of use, I have had no problems with keeping things cold. I like the design as well, because unlike some small "cube" refrigerators, it will accommodate a tall bottle. Also, the exterior finish is reasonably professional looking and unobtrusive, which is a considerable plus in an office environment.

Keep in mind that this is a refrigerator and not a freezer. The ice tray area is pretty much a joke. But if you want to keep some beverage cans cold or have a place to put your lunch, this is a good choice.

My Heeler had itching and sores and I had to start cooking for her, and then we tried First Mate and she has eaten it for a year and has no sores and doesn't itch like before. Now she is starting to itch a little and we have had her allergy tested so we can see if she is developing any allergies to the ingredients in this food... then we may have to find a new one... otherwise, we will continue on it. I don't know who that one person thinks they are calling this low quality organic, how the heck do they know what kind of quality it is? I think they are a competitor. He was a picky eater, but when I put this on he would eat right away. I don't know if it made any difference for his problem - sporadic bile vomiting. We thought this was nerves from being left alone on certain days, since he's done it off and on since he was a puppy. But recently we switched his food from Nutro to Purina Pro Plan and he hasn't had a problem since, and he readily eats (like a normal dog). A quick search on Nutro will bring up a lot of results of vomiting, and with this personal experience, I don't recommend Nutro at all.

One of the oldest electrical appliances in manufacture, next to the slow cooker and electric counter top roaster oven, all which date back to the 1930s. I needed to stay below or at the $100 price point, so the very high-end units were out of reach. It was worthwhile looking at these higher priced grills in order to become familiar with the best features. Finally, I settled on this excellent indoor grill by Hamilton beach, with its unique temperature probe. The probe is no small innovation for a contact grill, because of the fast cooking time on most contact grills the difference between medium rare and well done is easily overshot and consequently missed by the most attentive of cooks. This feature makes cooking to perfection very easy.

So far, I've enjoyed great success with this not too big, not too small, indoor contact grill. I was able to prepare at one time a dozen mini-burgers known as sliders, on another night 4 large thick lamb chops and for another meal a tri-tip. This handy little grill performed beautifully, it also makes great bacon!

Cleanup is very easy, I've noted that many people with many grills have quite a bit of trouble cleaning their grills. I would like to offer some pointers on this problem. Although it is true most nonstick surfaces are regarded as dishwasher safe, however I would avoid this method as a generality. Nonstick surfaces can be deteriorated by excess use of detergent and harsh cleansers used in dishwashers. In order to preserve the longevity of the nonstick surface use little or no detergent whenever possible and rely on very hot water to do most of the work. A nylon brush is very convenient and safe to use on the surface. Also, rinse the plates very thoroughly because residual detergent can degrade the nonstick finish over time. I have had nonstick cookware that has lasted over 30 years, when treated with this kind of care. I also recommend using a paper towel and a small amount of vegetable oil to be massaged on the nonstick surface in order to maintain what chefs call good seasoning of the surface. This refreshes and protects the smooth surface and adds to its nonstick properties. It seems that some people are a bit over compulsive with their cleaning practices regarding nonstick surfaces. On this particular grill, I found that the narrow edge of an ordinary wooden spoon can easily push burnt on particles into the waiting drip tray. The rest can be handled with a damp paper towel or cloth. How easy is that!?

I have only one small issue with this otherwise marvelous contact grill. It's not a physical problem, but rather the name. Apparently the phrase "set it and forget it" is used in an entire product line by Hamilton beach. It's a very appropriate thing to say in regards to slow cookers and roasters. It is a very poor thing to suggest when dealing with very high temperature cooking with many issues that naturally require constant in-process cooking supervision. Most safety problems in the kitchen arise from inattentive cooking practices. I believe that this product could be renamed the Hamilton beach digital sensor grill and Panini press

In conclusion, I have some suggestions for Hamilton beach regarding future versions of this grill.

1. Consider producing alternative grill plates. In the form of a waffle maker, smooth griddle and a shallow pan that fits the griddle plate and allows the top griddle to become the lid for baking. I would package this separately as a completer kit for the original grill as well as offering it in an all in one boxed set perhaps complete with silicon tip tongs spatula and cleaning products and possibly an apron with Hamilton beach graphics proudly blazed across the apron. Include a well illustrated carefully researched and tested cookbook specifically conceived for this contact grill and Panini press. This would be significant added value to the unit at modest cost to the manufacturer. Perhaps developed by a friendly third party publisher.

2. Consider redesigning the Panini float handle in order to make it a three position grilling system. This is a common popular feature in many competing grills, allowing both cooking surfaces to lie flat or to float above the surface of the food broiler fashion and to control the pressure of the upper grill on the food being grills.

3. Most Panini presses and contact grills have a common technical flaw that has resulted in no small amount of frustration and consumer dissatisfaction in these appliances. This little flaw is in the use of a small safety feature used to control overheating. It is an inexpensive tiny little fuse typically mounted in the rear of the unit. These fuses are often overly sensitive to the predictable heat levels that commonly occur in these grills. When this fuse self sacrifices to protect the grill from overheating the customer is stuck with a significant dilemma. Generally this occurs after the warranty is expired and they have very little recourse. This is a two dollar part that can mean the early demise of an expensive and very useful counter appliance. The natural conclusion is to replace this fuse with a resettable circuit breaker that accomplishes the same purpose but does not require warranty issues or product replacement. For the added cost this would result in considerable savings to the manufacturer in terms of issues they would not have to deal with and not to mention result in much happier customers over time. This is a universal problem throughout this category of appliances and why no one has addressed this issue is a big mystery to me.

This is a very fine example of a modern contact grill and Panini press. It is an excellent build and seems very sturdy, I expect many years of good service from it. I hope this review has been worthwhile.

I bought this machine Christmas of last year. I must admit i was a bit intimidated by it at first. Once i took the machine out of the box and saw all the parts and looked at the DVD I then put everything back in the box and waited for a good 3 weeks to open the box again. I was determined not to let a machine intimidate me, so I took everything out and followed the instructions. I did get the error message at first about the threading, but because i had read the instructions and viewed the DVD I knew that i was not threading the machine correctly - why blame a machine for human error. So I took it upon myself to learn how to thread the machine correctly and once I had accomplished that task, I had no problems with the machine doing embroidery or sewing. This machine does nice embrodiery work, but you have to experiment with it to find out what the machine can do and what you need to do to to get the machine to do it. So, I bought some cheap cloth on sale and went about practicing the stitches and the embroidery appliques. And the lessons I learned from doing that saved me a bundle on material that I would have otherwise ruined and the frustration i would have felt in doing so.

So, bottom line is that I would recommnend this machine. You must take the time to understand how this machine works and read the instructions and review the DVD (also going online to websites and reading the Q&A's about this machine will also help you. And, it is not about how computer savy or how long you have been sewing - if you are not following the directions for this particular machine none of that is going to help you.

Here's a big HINT. If they start offering loads of parts for an item, it means it is a lemon in more than one way. I loved it too in the beginning. Then about 3 months in, parts started breaking, the repair people blamed me for shoddy parts (ie the spinbrush is connected by one little green rod that breaks) I am now so disgusted with it that it sits in the garage, waiting to be loaded off to someone who wants to tinker with it or spend money on parts. (ie the only thing that I haven't replaced is the handle or the motor)

It also decreases the amount of water it extracts as time goes on. So you end up with carpets staying more and more wet.

I am outraged that I spent 280 for this for it to break so readily. Sorry Hoover, but I am going back to RELIABLE Bissell.

For 5 months, this was one of the best coffee makers I ever owned. It has a large opening to the reservoir so no annoying spilling as you're trying to fill it, it's programmable with a nicely visible clock that kept perfect time, and it brewed very quickly. Then the honeymoon ended. :(

After 5 1/2 months of light use (one pot, every other day or so), it just suddenly stopped heating today. The clock still works fine, so it's getting power, just won't heat at all. I will try contacting Black & Decker (with crossed fingers) for a replacement and hope this was a fluke, but after being so pleased with this coffee maker, it just makes it's premature demise so much more disappointing!

Will update review if B&D replaces.

I read all the reviews on this before I bought it and was unsure if it would work. I went ahead and ordered and I could not have been happier. My lab puppy is in love with this snuggle puppy. After one night with this puppy he was sleeping in his crate with little to no whinning enless of course he had to go potty. My puppy is now 4 months old and is still sleeping with it each night. Throughout the first couple weeks he was sick on and off. I had to wash the puppy and was very hesitant as someone else had said it fell apart after a wash. We have washed it three times. If you wash it in a pillow case on gentle cycle it holds up no problem. I did find a small hole the other days and sewed it up and now it is as good as new!... I highly recommend this product.

I have been feeding joint support soft chews of various varities to my Greyhounds for quite some time now. Some of my hounds have refused to eat them so I crumble them up over their food. Joint MAX TS Soft Chews has been the first soft chews my hounds have eaten like a treat. The chews arrive plastic wrapped in a plastic container and they are nice and moist, easy to break apart. They stay that way as long as you keep wrapping them back the way they came. If you don't keep them wrapped up they loose their moisture and get to be like little charcoal brickettes. Fortunately they make it easy to keep them nicely wrapped. There is instruction on the side of the container specifing how many chews your dog needs in a day, it depends on size and condition of the dog.

I break mine apart and put in my hound's medication, then smoosh it back over the pill. He eats it right down and I am glad to have found an easy way to 'pill' my dog while giving him something that helps his joints. When you first start giving any joint support product it can take a few weeks or even a couple of months to see any difference in the dog's movement. Again depends on condition of the dog to begin with and what else he/she has going on. I think it helps my Greyhounds, they have that long spine and thin long leg and neck thing going on. I think it has helped their movements stay younger even when they were getting older.
