We have used green um brands as well as other brands. The biggest difference we see is that with the green um brand, my dog scratches considerably less. I can't remember the ingredient that it has that helps with scratching and itching, but it has it and it works for my german shepherd.
As far a yard spots. This does not fix it entirely. But no product we have tried has fixed it entirely. This is the best one we have found.
